Freddy Went to heaven
Freddy went to Heaven yesterday morning. Laynee came and woke me up and said mom Freddy is floating on the top but his eyes are still open. Did he die. I went and looked and told her that he did go to Heaven. She helped me flush him down the toilet and I gave her a hug and she seems to be okay with it. She did say later on that day that she wish her fish was still alive but nothing else since then. Her teachers did tell me at the orientation that they do give fish and to only expect them to live for a few days to a weeks. So I was prepared.

rough go to lose your fish, but really a blessing. I hate cleaning those things out even if they are itty bitty cups or whatev. glad she isn't taking it too hard.
what the heck do they give them out for then? can't they think of something better? a plant? yikes. i'm glad she's taking it so well, but it could have gone the other way. spanky cried for a good hour when his beta fish died nd talked about it for a week.
